UEL 2020/21 Top Scorers: The Villarreal Pair Raise Up Again

Gerard Moreno, Paco Alcácer and Mislav Oršić all edged within a single goal of the leading trio in the UEFA Europa League scoring charts after hitting their sixth of the campaign in the quarter-final decider between Villarreal and Dinamo Zagreb.

Yellows’ duo Gerard Moreno and Alcácer struck in the first half before Oršić’s late consolation, which was not enough to prevent the Liga side from reaching the semi-finals. The Spanish internationals can therefore still hope to catch the frontrunners: Benfica midfielder Pizzi, Roma’s Borja Mayoral and LOSC Lille forward Yusuf Yazıcı.

Of those three, only Mayoral is still involved in the competition, having come on as a substitute in Roma’s 1-1 second-leg draw against Ajax.
