Manchester United chase Corentin Tolisso transfer raid with Bayern Munich eyeing replacements

Bayern Munich are drawing up a list of potential replacements for Corentin Tolisso, who continues to attract significant attention from Manchester United.

The German champions are already set to lose Thiago Alcantara to Liverpool, while Javi Martinez’s future is up in the air with just a year to run on his current contract.

And according to French outlet Le 10 Sport, Bayern are plotting a summer rebuild in the middle of the park – with Tolisso potentially on his way out.

United are keen to bring the 25-year-old to Old Trafford this summer, although it is believed a number of other top European sides also hold an interest.

Bayern are said to be targeting Tottenham’s Tanguy Ndombele and Chelsea outcast Tiemoue Bakayoko, who spent the 2019/20 campaign on loan at Monaco.

Spurs are looking to recoup some of the initial £55million they forked out on Ndombele last summer, while Chelsea are also hoping for the same with £40million recruit Bakayoko.

Nevertheless, Bayern believe a loan deal for one of the two could be possible this summer, which would allow Tolisso to join United.

The France midfielder has made 68 appearances since completing a £38million switch from Lyon in 2017, scoring 14 goals and winning three Bundesliga titles.

He has been capped 21 times by France and was part of the side who clinched the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

Tolisso is not the only player being linked with a summer move to United, nevertheless.

Reports suggest Borussia Dortmund star Jadon Sancho is at the top of his wish list, although the German club are demanding at least £100million for his services.

According to the Evening Standard, boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer considered three targets before deciding to go all out for Sancho.

It is believed Solskjaer originally saw Juventus ace Paulo Dybala as the “ideal fit” to bolster his attack.

He also had his eye on another Juve attacker in Mario Mandzukic, before the 34-year-old went on to sign for Qatar Stars League club Al-Duhail.

Norwegian sensation Erling Haaland was also on his radar before sealing a move to Dortmund in January.
