Malcom, a forward for Zenit Saint Petersburg, is reportedly drawing a lot of interest from throughout Europe in preparation for a possible summer transfer, according to various news outlets.
Malcom, a former player for Bordeaux and Barcelona, has had an incredible season playing on the right side of Zenit’s attack. In just 27 top-flight appearances this year, Malcom has amassed 23 goals and nine assists.
According to various insiders, the 26-year-old believes he is ready to return to one of Europe’s top leagues and that his agents have spoken with Zenit about trying to arrange a transfer away this summer.
In an effort to find buyers for Malcom, those same representatives have contacted a number of teams around Europe, and it is believed that many of them have expressed interest in striking a deal.
Several sources claim that Malcom’s prospective availability has been made known to Arsenal, Manchester City, and Newcastle. Paris Saint-Germain is also said to be interested in Malcom after failing to close a deal in the January transfer window.
Malcom’s desire is well known to Zenit, but because of the new contract he signed last summer tying him to the Russian team until 2027, they are prepared to demand a high cost for his services.
According to sources, Zenit will expect more than the £40 million they paid to sign Malcom from Barcelona in 2019.
The Russian team is also prepared for prospective advances for 19-year-old defender Robert Renan, a second Brazilian.
Teams all throughout Europe have been keeping an eye on Renan, who just joined Zenit in January. The center-back, who received his first call-up to the Brazil national team back in March, has fans in Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Newcastle, and Tottenham, among others.
