Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed that they will sign Hajduk Split defender Luka Vuskovic in 2025.

Vuskovic will join Spurs in the summer after turning 18 and will stay in Croatia until then.

The 16-year-old has already made 11 senior games for Hajduk Split and has been scouted by Europe’s top clubs.

It was first reported in March that Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain had began bidding for Vuskovic, with Barcelona and Bayern Munich following suit during the summer.

However, earlier in September, rumours confirmed that Vuskovic had decided to prioritize a move to Tottenham, which has now been finalized.

Vuskovic’s deal with Tottenham will last until 2030, according to the club.

Vuskovic had a record-breaking 2023 season with Hajduk Split. He became the club’s youngest ever goal-scorer when he scored against NK Osijek in February, making him the youngest player in Croatian top-flight history.

Vuskovic helped Hajduk Split win the Croatian Cup while on the senior squad, and he was also a crucial starter in the Under-19s’ journey to the UEFA Youth League final, when they were defeated by AZ Alkmaar.

Vuskovic is Tottenham’s third centre-back acquisition since Ange Postecoglou took over as manager, following the arrivals of Micky van de Ven and Ashley Phillips in the summer.
