Teenager Oliver Bearman, who raced for Ferrari in the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, will join Haas in 2025.
Bearman, 19, signed a multiyear contract after completing practice sessions this season. He debuted in F1 in April, replacing Carlos Sainz and finishing sixth in Jeddah. He became the third-youngest F1 starter at 18 years and 35 days.
Haas announced Bearman’s signing ahead of the British Grand Prix. Bearman chose number 87 for his car, a number he will keep throughout his F1 career unless he becomes the world champion.
Bearman’s 2025 teammate is yet to be confirmed. Kevin Magnussen‘s future is uncertain, and current Haas driver Nico Hülkenberg is set to join Audi at Sauber next season. Sources indicate that Haas may offer the second seat to departing Alpine driver Esteban Ocon.
