Aston Villa have declared that they have marked Philippe Coutinho on an extremely durable arrangement from Barcelona.
The Brazil midfielder joined on an underlying advance back in January, rejoining with previous Liverpool partner Steven Gerrard who is currently in control at Villa Park.
We detailed recently that Villa were surrounding keeping Coutinho, and the club reported on Thursday night that they have agreed with Barcelona.
The Catalan side have affirmed that Villa have left behind €20m (£17m) to get Coutinho’s mark, with Barcelona additionally holding a half sell-on proviso.
