The countdown is on and the preparations are being stepped up with a string of pre-season friendlies ahead of the 2021/22 season.
Riyad Mahrez scored a free-kick on Tuesday as Manchester City kicked off their pre-season campaign with a 2-0 victory over Preston.
Meanwhile, Chelsea triumphed 2-1 at AFC Bournemouth and Southampton beat Cardiff City 4-0, with Che Adams netting twice.
